highway 65 Harrison Arkansas
Our History

Grounded in our history.......In 1963, a partnership construction company was formed between John Crouse and Harland Bailey. Their first job was at Pea Ridge, consisting of two small bridges and some curb/gutter work. The crew consisted of Crouse, Bailey, and four or five other men. The company did well and grew to two crews of 35-40 men by 1967. They built overpasses at Conway and Atkins for the interstate highway system, in addition to other state contracts.

In 1970, Bailey retired and John launched the business, Crouse Construction Company, on his own. By 1977, John's son, Dean, joined the company. Both John and Dean graduated from the University of Arkansas with civil engineering degrees.

Today...... Dean is the CEO of Crouse Construction Inc. He is a member of the Arkansas Academy of Civil Engineers, a Professional Engineer and has been inducted into the Associated General Contractors of Arkansas.

Dean has welcomed his daughter, Crystal, into the family business. She has a degree in Construction Management from UALR.
